Providing a loving Christian family environment to traumatized children in El Salvador
They’re our 1st substitute family in El Salvador. In 2022 they opened their home to 3 children through 2 placements. They have been a safe refuge for each placement and shared the love of Jesus to them.

It was an amazing year of growth We started the year with a recruiting meeting at Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva where we had aprox. 10 interested families. Then we invited them to a time of fellowship where they got to listen to the testimony of other foster families and their journey. Later in March, those same interested families came with us to visit one of the public orphanages and we also brought some donations with us. All this time, the Lord was moving the heart of the Garcia family, and they decided to get certified as official foster families! In the middle of the year we had our 2nd Cohort of interested families at the same church. We had a fellowship meal with them where they got to hear the life changing testimonies of other foster families. In August we made a second visit to the public orphanage but this time we did a dental hygiene campaign where certified dentist and students volunteered to clean the kid’s teeth. It was a blessing! By October another family decided to get certified and open their home to vulnerable children; this was the Figueroa family! By the end of 2025, two more foster families had joined our ministry! Praise the Lord for using these families to transform the lives of these children!
We started the year by inviting all 4 campuses to an informational meeting about temporary/adoptive families. We had a great turn out where we answered their questions and concerns. As a follow-up to this group of interested families, we had a gathering where we got to know each other and listened to the Lopez’ testimony as foster parents. Their desire to serve the vulnerable children is such that they came with us to serve in an orphanage.
The need for foster families is ES is great. We believe it is better for a child to be in a loving, safe family environment where he can receive a 1-on-1 attention to his physical, spiritual and emotional needs, rather than an orphanage. This is why we spent Jan-Feb 2024 trying to make Christian families conscientious of this need by speaking at multiple small groups and carrying on informational meetings after each service.
One of our biggest efforts is to work with local Salvadorean churches to seek for Godly families to intake abused/abandoned children in their home. This is a PRIME opportunity for the local church to disciple these children and point them to Christ.
After filing our application, each family has to go through a government training provided by the local Child Protection System (ISNA). Once certified as a Substitute family, they’re ready to receive a child.
